Anson Funds

Anson Funds is a privately held alternative asset management company founded in 2003, with offices in Toronto, Canada and Dallas, Texas.

Moez Kassam co-founded the firm, and he remains one of the primary managers of total assets under management, which is estimated at about $2 billion.

The funds managed by Anson Funds have been recognized for their performance by a variety of organizations, Barron’s and Bloomberg being a few examples. Anson Funds has also appeared in the Top 10 Hedge Funds list from Barclay Managed Funds quite frequently.

Anson Funds focuses on three investment strategies: classic shorts, value longs and opportunistic investments. Anson Funds invests primarily in publicly-traded equity and debt securities on a global basis. As a student at Bayview Glen School, Moez Kassam became intrigued by finance after his class placed in the top three schools in the TD Stock Portfolio Challenge for Ontario. Kassam went on to attend the University of Western Ontario, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Moez Kassam earned his Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance from the London Business School.
